The Countess Closing Title Sequence by Darius Ghanai

This is a piece of work, that did not make it into the film. the story which is set in the 16th century is a lot about vanity, a sort of female dorian gray approach, I thought. the very bitter ending of the movie with the countess being immured alive should not have ended with white titles on black. I wanted to offer something beautiful yet reflecting the topic of the film.
I produced this stop motion sequence of a withering rose over a period of 5 days with a high rez digital camera. what you see is a first layout. if approved, we would have worked on a more seamless process of course. one of my favorite works….
